Our Guarantee

A guarantee is only worth what it says in writing. Here is what should be covered on any heating or cooling work arranged through this site, and what to check before you agree to a job.

Written Pricing Before Work Starts

You should receive the price in writing before anything is fitted — parts, labour, and whether the diagnostic fee is absorbed into the repair. A verbal estimate that grows once the panel is off is not a quote.

Two Separate Warranties

Manufacturer parts warranty. Comes from the equipment maker, not the installer. Typically ten years on parts and often longer on a heat exchanger. Two conditions apply that people miss: it usually has to be registered within sixty to ninety days of installation, and it usually requires documented annual professional maintenance.

Workmanship warranty. Comes from whoever did the work, and this is where companies differ most. A free part is small comfort if you are paying several hundred dollars in labour to fit it. Ask how long labour is covered and get the answer written on the quote.

What a Fair Job Looks Like

  • The fault is diagnosed and explained before a price is given.
  • Repair is recommended where repair is the right answer.
  • Replacement equipment is sized by load calculation and de-rated for altitude.
  • The permit is pulled by the contractor where one is required.
  • Commissioning readings are taken and shared on an installation.
  • If something is not right afterwards, it is treated as a callback rather than a new job.

If Something Goes Wrong

Raise it with the contractor who did the work first — most issues are resolved in a single return visit. If you cannot get it resolved, tell us through the contact page. We will not work with professionals who do not stand behind what they fit.

Specific warranty terms are set by the contractor performing the work and by the equipment manufacturer. Always read what is written on your own quote and invoice — that document, not this page, is your agreement.
